Hey Chris,

Thanks for response. At first it seems so cute and sweet but man…they get hurt so easy when they go down.

We will have to look into that. They are taking clomipramine right now (25mg I think). At first it seemed that it worked but now it seems to have little affect.

Hope all is well! Will we see you next month in Norfolk?

Hi Mike, Jen:

I am so sorry about the cataplexy. Addi and Cassi have it too and have had it for quite some time. It’s a nightmare and we can’t let them walk on their own either.

We started them on Strattera recommended by Dr. Mignot at Stanford, a leading expert on narcolepsy and cataplexy. We are giving 5mg, twice a day (morning and night). It is a short acting drug and I notice by end of 12 hours, more cataplexy. But is has worked very well and really cut back on these episodes. I am very happy with it.

Not sure what drug you are trying for it? Let me know.

Michael and family,
I am the secretary at Gill Memorial Baptist Church in Marshall, Mo. I grew up in the Liberty/Gladstone area and have family members that still live there. I was reading the World & Way Baptist newspaper and came across the wonderful article about you and your family. Tears came to my eyes as I read, and re-read about your special little boys. I then spent an hour on your website, trying to learn about this awful disease that is taking your children. May God bless all of you and keep you safe in his protective arms!
